    Newly inducted greeks introduced during Homecoming week

    Sixty-three new Greeks were introduced at the Neophyte Show on Saturday, with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority boasting the largest line with 24 new members.

    Hermine C. Jones, adviser to the National Pan-Hellenic Councilat Dillard University, said other chapters who inducted new members included: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, 16 new members; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, eight each; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, six; and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, one new member.

    The nine historically black Greek-letter organizations are called the “Divine Nine.” Jones said three groups did not participate in intake this semester: Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
