    Volleyball athlete serves them right

Performing on and off the court is a top priority for junior volleyball star, Menesia Pinkney. Pinkney, a business management major from Brusly, La She holds a 3.0 GPA, and plans to own her own hair salon in the near future. “Success doesn’t come easy, yet in the end it all is worth it,” said Pinkney. Pinkney has played the game of volleyball for 12 years, and enjoys every position of the game. “I love the competitiveness of volleyball, and that it’s more of a team sport than individual sport.” Even though the lady volleyball team has had a rough start, the support of the Dillard family is still needed for the Lady Blue Devils. “We are a young team that has a wide range of talent. We still have a few kinks to fix and we still have faith in one another.” “‘I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me’ is what I stand by everyday,” said Pinkney. As an athlete and a student, Pinkney practices setting a great example as a student-athlete striving for success both on and off the court.
